Saskatchewan PNP releases ITAs to 299 Express Entry applicants ![]()
The year 2021 is great for Canada immigration. So far, the province of Saskatchewan has issued 1,729 ITAs to PNP candidates. In its latest draw held on 25th February 2021, Saskatchewan PNP invited applicants to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residency. The 299 applicants invited under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) were the main applicants under the International Skilled Worker category. Out of all the candidates who applied for SINP's Express Entry sub-category only eligible candidates received the invitation in this latest Provincial Nominee Program draw. The minimum score for Expression of Interest (EOI), in this draw, was set to 70. Moreover, the candidates who scored 70 or above needed to prove their work experience in one of the 70 in-demand job profiles listed on the province’s government webpage. Some of the in-demand job profiles in Saskatchewan are:
Expression of Interest system The SINP implements the EOI system to pick the candidates most likely to compete in the provincial labour market. Applicants need to show their determination to settle in Saskatchewan by showing their work experience, schooling, language skills, age and ties to the province. Saskatchewan, according to the International Skilled Worker Points Assessment Grid, grants applicants a score out of 100. The highest-ranking candidates are then invited to apply for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan. Since November 2020, Saskatchewan has begun to award more EOI points to people who can understand both English and French. SINP's Express Entry Sub-category In the most recent invitation round, only applicants with profiles in the Federal Express Entry Pool earned invitations from Saskatchewan. The Federal Express Entry System handles the pool of applicants for three of Canada's big economic visa programmes: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program and the Canadian Experience Class. If applicants in the Federal Express Entry Pool have also submitted an EOI for Saskatchewan and scored 70 on the SINP Points Assessment Grid, they may have been invited to the latest draw. Applicants in the Express Entry seeking to earn a provincial nomination from the Province of Saskatchewan receive an additional 600 points for their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score. This award essentially means that they will be invited to apply for Canada permanent residence in a forthcoming Federal Express Entry draw. Source: CIC News |
