New Express Entry Draw Sees Another 3,900 Candidates Invited to Apply for Canadian Permanent Residence ![]()
Express Entry: Fifth Draw of 2020
On 4th March 2020, Canada held its new Express Entry draw for the fifth time this year. Wherein, a total of 39,000 applicants were issued Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under Federal Express Entry system, with a minimum requirement of CRS score of 471.
Although this is a relatively lower number of ITAs than the previous draw, it still can be considered as one of the greatest numbers of invitations issued in recent history. The huge numbers of ITA indicate that the Canada government is already on its way towards welcoming more than one million immigrants in the coming three years.
With the government aggressively creating new paths for skilled workers to Canada permanent residency, and a booming Canadian labour force, there's never been a better opportunity for you as well as your family to start the immigration process!
Previous Draw CRS Score
The Government of Canada held its one of the largest draws with 4,5000 invitations two weeks ago. The cut-off score of 471 is an increase of one point over the previous draw on February 19, which had a minimum score of 470.
Canada Express Entry system handles the profile of applicants for three of Canada's major economic-class immigration programs i.e. the Federal Skilled Worker Class, the Federal Skilled Trades Class and the Canadian Experience Class.
To meet the 85,800 ITA goal for new Canada permanent resident approval this year, it seems that the Canada government has begun issuing more invitations at each draw.
How Express Entry Draw Works?
Applicants are selected based on the scores awarded to them under the Comprehensive Ranking System of Express Entry which takes into account factors such as education, age, skilled work experience and French or English language ability.
A fixed number of the highest-ranking applicants earn an ITA for permanent residency in Canada through frequent draws from the pool, and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) intends to process permanent residence applications within six months.
Invitations to apply were awarded to applicants with CRS scores above 471, as well as to those with scores of 471 who submitted their profile in the Express Entry pool before 5th March 2020. |
