Australia PR Visa: How it Works?

As we have mentioned earlier, Australia follows a point-based system to determine eligibility for Australia PR Visa. The process in a whole is a mix of both online and offline process. Let us see, how it works?

Arrange Key Documents:

Collect the entire routine document. The two main documents are:

  1. IELTS bands results
  2. Skill assessment report

Select Appropriate Visa:

To apply for PR Visa, you are required to choose the right visa category. The categories such as Subclass 189 (Non-sponsored visa), Subclass 190 (State Nominated Visa), Subclass 186 (Employer Nominated Visa), etc. scroll down for visa categories of Australia PR.

Select an Occupation:

After selecting the relevant visa the second step would be to select an occupation from the SOL (Skilled Occupation List). If you have applied for any state nominated visa, then you are required to select occupation from the list of that particular Australian state.

Get Evaluated in Point-Based System:

Once you are through with all visa and occupation selection, the next step is to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) in Australian Skill Select system. The EOI will consist of all your key profile details. Your profile will be assessed and scored for each key profile factor. You must score at least 65 points to be eligible under any category of visa.

Health and Character Certificate:

You must provide proof that you are medically fit and have a morally good character. Thus, medical examination and police verification are required.
