Canada Temporary Foreign Worker Programme Canada Work Permit
It is launched by the Canadian government which allows the Canadian employer to hire foreign workers to fill their skill shortage
which is not fulfilled by Canadian citizen or Permanent resident.
This programme has a major advantage for employers as they get the access of foreign market and can hire a well-qualified and
skill professional to fulfil its requirement and hence utilise its resources by hiring manpower.
This programme is managed and functioned by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) and CIC.
Any employer who is hiring foreign national needs an approved LMO/LMIA (Canadian Government Approved Labour Market Opinion/Labour Market Impact Assessment) from HRSDC that means that the employer did not get a
suitable candidate for this job in its own country, neither a Canadian citizen nor Permanent resident was suitable for the particular skill shortage even after several advertisements hence
the employer had to hire a foreign national.
After a validate LMO/LMIA the worker needs to apply for a work permit at CIC , the employer must provide positive LMO/LMIA from HRSDC with workers
application to sustain Work permit.
The employers in return take an responsibility of medical coverage, social insurance number.
This programme is designed to fulfil the gap of skill professionals in Canadian labour market and temporary foreign workers are limited to four year
to work in Canada before returning to their home country
